We're working on a christmas present | 23.10.2008
Hello friends!
I'd like to announce that Dynamo 77 will record a christmas tune. An original of course. Something like a blend between Do they know it's christmas and Phil Spector. It'll be interesting to see and hear the outcome of this! We will record the basics in our gigantic rehearsal room in November. The song will then be available for free, only through dynamo77.com and the Dynamo 77 myspace page. Oh, almost forgot, the working title is "When you hear this sound".

Recordings, german tour and thoughts about a digital EP | 03.09.2008
Hey kids!
Summer is coming to an end. After a well needed vacation, some shows and some re-bonding we are back on track. The recording of our third album is our main priority right now. Right now we're working on more than 20 songs of which 10 or 11 will end up on the album. I've done some vocal tracking the last three days. I managed to finish two songs called Restless days, sleepless nights and El Puerto de Santa Marķa, and I recorded the chorus vocals for a third one which is probably going to be called Bleed. We haven't decided on a deadline for this album, but expect it to be out spring 2009.
We have also decided to push the German tour period forward to February. To promote the tour we will also release an EP digitally with songs from ... and the republic of angels and some previously unheard material. Be on the lookout for that!

Due some promotional reasons we changed the online re-release of our debut album to May 30. Everything else remains the same. You will be able to download it for free at Dynamo77.com.
Currently recording new album | 15.04.2008
Just thought I'd let you know that we are currently recording a new album under the working title: "Interstellar Onion Robot Revenge".
As of right now I'm working on twelve songs but I still have a lot of ideas that I haven't started recording yet so the number of songs will probably grow. Unlike the previous albums, all members of D77 will participate on this record. David has laid down some killer piano tracks, Magnus swung by with his Precision bass and cut an awesome bassline on a ballad, which Olle also played guitar on. Lars is going to lay down some mandolin tracks for a song this week too. The new album will be more up-tempo than both the previous.
Production wise, I've taken a step back towards using more synthesizers and drum machines. Maybe a tiny step back towards "Submissive alpha female", although the sound won't be as cold and the songs not quite as dark. But this album will definitely have more electronic sounds than "...And the republic of angels". There is a big eighties sound to the production. I'll let you know how everything goes.

In May we will be giving away our debut album Submissive Alpha Female for free as part of promoting our German tour this autumn. It will be available from the 2nd of May, 2008 through our website for a limited time.
And the republic of Angels - Out now!
And the republic of angels, our latest album, is available through Cdbaby.com, iTunes Store, Mtve.com and many more. Soon you'll also be able to buy the CD directly in the Dynamo 77 Webshop.
It is a concept album dealing with the topics love and death. The album is based on recurring musical and lyrical themes. It was recorded between January and September, and was released in December 2007.
